4th of July Party Recipes
Spiked Arnold Palmer Cocktail Recipe
Bring 3 cups of water to boil.
While water is boiling, juice enough lemons to get 1.25 cups of fresh lemon juice.
Steep tea bags in water and add honey.
Combine tea and lemon juice with remaining ingredients.
Pour over ice cubes and garnish with lemon wedges.
BLT Crostini Recipe
Cook bacon until crispy.
Brush slices of bread with olive oil and toast until golden.
Combine tomatoes, lettuce, chives, mayonnaise, salt and pepper and toss.
Red, White and Blue Kale and Quinoa Salad
Combine all ingredients into bowl and mix. Add dressing, transfer to serving bowl, optional garnish with additional cheese and berries for presentation. Enjoy!
BBQ Chicken with Homemade BBQ Sauce
Combine ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, molasses, hot sauce, mustard, worstershire sauce and garlic in a medium saucepan. Cook, while stirring until thicken and reduced to about 1 ½ cups.
Brush chicken lightly with oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill over medium-high heat until chicken is done. During the last few minutes of cooking baste chicken with sauce until well glazed.
Serve chicken with sauce on the side.
Red, White & Blue Sundae Recipe
Combine blueberries, sugar, and water in a small sauce pan over medium heat. Stir with a wooden spoon to crush blueberries and dissolve sugar. Simmer until just thickened. Remove from heat, allow to cool and stir in lemon juice. While syrup is cooling layer sliced strawberries and coconut ice cream in a tall glass. Top with blueberry syrup and reserved fresh blueberries.
