Jordin Sparks’ Easy Nachos Recipe for Game Day
Sheet Pan Nachos
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a sheet tray with aluminum foil and spray lightly with cooking spray. In a large sauté pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the onions, cumin, salt, paprika and chili powder and stir to coat the onions with the spices. Cook the onions until they have begun to soften, about 3 minutes. Add the beef and cook, stirring occasionally until the meat is evenly browned, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside.
Spread the tortilla chips evenly on the sheet tray. Top with half of the cheese. Spoon the meat evenly over the chips and top with the remaining cheese. Bake in the center rack of the oven until the cheese is melted, about 5 minutes. Remove from the oven to a wire rack. Stir half of the jarred salsa into the melted cheese and drizzle over the nachos. Spoon over the remaining salsa and sprinkle with the green onion and cilantro.
