Tip: Use store bought, unfrosted cupcakes to save time!
Pierce cupcake in the middle with a frosting tip or knife and remove cake.
Fill with blue or pink frosting, depending on the gender of the baby!
Frost the top of the the cupcake with white frosting, and top with blue and pink sprinkles, or a festive topper!
Tip: Use boxed cake mix from the store and food coloring for an easy colored cake.
Start with a cool cake.
Break off pieces of the cake, crumbling into a separate bowl until entire cake is done.
Mix in colored frosting to create a dough-like texture.
Tip: Use a small scooper to make uniform pops.
Form frosting-cake mixture into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Dip lollipop sticks in melted chocolate and stick into each ball.
Freeze 2-3 hours.
Dip frozen cake balls into melted chocolate and place back on the parchment paper.
Top with white sprinkles for texture.
Refrigerate 10-15 minutes before serving.
5 Layer Cake
Tip: Use frosting to anchor down the cake to the cake stand.
Place base cake layer on cake stand.
Frost and smooth with spatula.
Cut hole in middle of 2nd layer, place on top of 1st layer.
Frost and smooth.
Repeat with layers 3 and 4, cutting a hole out of the middle of each, frosting in between.
Fill the hole in the center of the cake with chocolate or candy of the corresponding color!
Place the final layer of the cake on top, and pipe your first layer of frosting.
Refrigerate the cake for 10-15 minutes to let the frosting solidify, which will make it easier to frost the cake smoothly!
Finish frosting and decorate with sprinkles and a banner!
