Infertility means the inability to get pregnant after one year of trying (or six months if a woman is 35 or older). Believe it or not, it's more common than you think among women in the United States. According to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) about 10 percent, roughly 6.1 million, women ages 15-44 have difficulty getting pregnant or staying pregnant.
