Tia Mowry’s 3 Bold Natural Curly Hair Looks

Natural hair is BACK! And this week on Quick Fix Tia is showing off how her hairstylist created three curly looks from her fashion spread.

1. The Afro

The key to this look is letting the hair air dry after washing and conditioning in order to keep the curl pattern in tact. Tia and Kendra recommend a combination of three products: curl cream, curl revitalizer, and liquid curl enhancing spray. (Tia uses Kimble brand for all three in this video.)

From there, just shake it out! Feel free to use your hands or a pick, just make sure you don't comb through all the way to the end of the hair. A skinny curling iron or want can be used to re-curl any ends that have gone straight.

2. The Parted Afro

This look is really just building off the first look. Part your hair on the side, gently separating the curls. Smooth down any fly-aways around your edges with a bit of gel or mousse. Tia uses Gold Well Mousse in this video.

3. The FroHawk

A mashup between an afro and a mohawk, this look is fierce!! Simply part your hair down the middle and seperate it into three sections from front to back. Bring each section together toward the middle of your head, give it a twist and secure it down with a bobby pin. Continue all the way down on both sides of your head and then fluff the hair so it looks as seamless as possible.
